Consider this job posting:
“Nodegree or prior experience required;
Salary and hours non-negotiable;
No paid benefits;
Lifelong tenure.”
Would you be surprised to learn that more than 100 million Indians now hold this position?
Their job title is “Mom”
Mums are amazing aren’t they? Who else would do yourwashing, cook you delicious Sunday dinners, pick you up every time you fall, be a constant shoulder to cry on and still fuss and worry about you long after you’ve grown up and left home?
How confusing it must have been for her to cheer on my growing independence when I was a child, while silently bidding goodbye to my baby years. How challenging it may have been for her to part with me during the day when it was time to send me to school.
In a way, she does a thankless job for us. No wages, no holidays. Non-stop work for 365 days a year.
Mother is the one who frames us, the one who builds us both physically and mentally and empowers us to face the world. She is the sunshine for every child and is always the first person whom we think of in our happy and not so happy times. She is the first thought that comes to our mind when we are unwell, when we are sad, when we are not able to achieve something or when we reach the greatest height of success.She is the one who knows us very well like no one else can know.
Her smiling face removes all sorrows and frets of theworld. Mothers are a constant source of strength to all of us.
In the words of Agatha Christie,
“Amother’s love for her child is like nothing else in the world. It knows no law,no pity. It dares all things and crushes down remorselessly all that stands inits path.”
No words would be able to thank her for her efforts but we can say her big thanks and give lots of respect and care.
So this mother’s day you can think of understanding your mother- know her well.
Don’t miss the chance to understand the complexity ofyour mother’s life, forgive her for not being perfect, and learn what she didfor you.
You can ask your mom to describe the happiest days of her life, and the saddest days.
You can ask about her childhood pets, favorite toys and best friends.
You can ask abouther high school years — about her dreams and early boy crushes and aboutmeeting your dad .
You can ask her about your birth and what you were likeas a toddler.
Each of us wants to feel our life matters; we want to be known. We connect with others through stories. We understand ourselves better through stories. We learn how to live through stories.
For when we say “Behind every successful man there is a woman”, I can undoubtedly say that, that woman is a MOTHER.
If your mom is no longer alive, consider this comforting concept: The words “Happy Mother’s Day, Mom” still belong to you. Go ahead and say them who have played an important role in nurturing you.
SO
To all Mother’s out there and not just my own,
You are amazing!
You are Beautiful Queens and today I am sharing lots of love to you through my words.
Wherever you are
This is YOUR day!
In the end I would dedicate one song which is loved by everyone of us
Main kabhi batlata nahin
Par andhere se darta hoon main Maa
Yoon to main dikhlata nahin
Teri parwaah karta hoon main Maa
Tujhe sab hai pata, hai na Maa
Tujhe sab hai pata… Meri Maa

I was torn between two options—one risky, the other is safe. The risky option lured me to make a quick online purchase. Even though I know it’s more than I can or should spend, time is running out on the availability of the item. The site is telling me exactly how many of the item are left. I was not sure exactly whether it will fit into my wardrobe but because there are only two left, I figured I need to hurry. My heart is shouting a clear Yes, telling me how great I will look in it and how happy it will make me. Shouting No just as loudly is my head, which instructs me to take a pass and save my money.
